Are we more concerned with what is in our children’s cupboards than what’s in our own .  Designer gear, brand-name shoes, whole outfits featuring the latest cartoon or movie characters….it never stops. But we are spending more time worrying about what they wear during the day, and not enough time on their sleepwear ?

Children are estimated to spend over a third of their childhood - 40% actually - asleep.Researchers also found that a child’s sleep impacts on how the child develops mentally and physically.Let’s ask ourselves, why don’t we spend more time looking for healthier sleepwear choices for our kids instead of dashing into the shops for a quick purchase or give in to their demands for the latest craze?

Well-meaning parents everywhere are trying their utmost to ensure the best for their kids, but we should be taking a close look at what our children wear to bed.man-made fibres such as polyester and nylon can cause a reaction in young skins, because they don’t allow the skin to breathe properly.  The rough texture of some fabrics can also cause rashes and itching.

Sensitive skins need a sensitive touch and 100% pure cotton has been proved to be the best choice.Whether you’re looking for something warm in winter or airy in summer, cotton is suitable for any environment.Midsummernight’s Dream only uses 100% pure cotton from India, which is why their children’s sleepwear is the ideal solution for a uninterrupted night.

Liz Collins has been designing and retailing French-inspired sleepwear for adults and children from her Perth shop and website for over 10 years and says her customers provide the best research sample. The feedback from all my customers is that they get a good night’s sleep in their pure cotton sleepwear, because the generous proportions and French seams of our pyjamas and nighties makes them extra comfortable.”

She applies the same design and manufacturing philosophy to her children’s range, which includes beautifully hand embroidered winter and summer styles, pyjamas and dresses as well as sleepwear for babies.”And because we use only the finest quality Indian cotton which is soft, comfotable and hypoallergenic, anyone can wear it.And because kids are involved, the fact that cotton washes easily and dries quickly and still remains comfortable and soft is an added advantage,” she continued.

With allergies on the increase, we should be looking at giving ourselves and our families the best chance at stopping these in their tracks, and one way is to wrap ourselves and our families in pure cotton sleepwear to ensure a healthy kickstart to the day from a good night’s rest.
