How to Develop Your Own Acne Diet
An acne diet is certainly an appealing idea. We’ve all heard that chocolate gives you pimples. Just about everyone has. As a result, it does not seem so far-fetched that what you eat could prevent acne instead of cause it.
But, an acne diet is a very hard thing to establish. Its very personal because it has to be based on an individuals responses to food. Your advancement will mostly be by trial and error and not all by guidelines. Observe and make note of any changes in your skin. Make note of any changes. You could keep a photo journal. When your skin clears, continue on the diet you were on at the time.
Here are a few instructions to help get you started on an acne diet:
* You need to increase your protein - Many dermatologists think that protein intake is related to clear skin. They believe this because protein has an enzyme in it that limits oil production. Oily skin seems to be extremely prone to breakouts.
* Carbohydrates are not good - Its not necessary to cut out all carbohydrates. But you should keep them limited to about 40 percent of your diet. This is because carbohydrates have compounds in them that can stimulate oil production. This is why so many people think that junk food causes acne. In reality junk food just has a high carb content.
* 3. Drink green tea - If at all possible try to drink the real stuff. Brewing the green tea is the best way to drink it. However, if you really don’t like it, then try the natural green tea drinks. Green tea limits androgen production. Breakouts can be caused by the hormone called androgen.
* 4. Limit your salt intake - Salt usually contains iodine. This being the reason table salt can be called “iodized salt.” Iodine can be one of the biggest inflammatory agents in people with acne.
You must watch your diet and what you put on your face. You should know what ingredients are in your beauty products if you have acne. You should only use moisturizers without oil and natural and organic skin care products. These are least likely to cause a breakout. If you wear makeup you may want to consider switching over to mineral makeup. Many dermatologists believe that mineral makeup can actually alleviate acne problems and enhance the results of your acne diet.
