There are so many reasons why you wouldn’t purposely go out and buy RC aircraft just to go out and crash the thing on purpose. These are just a few reasons on why you shouldnt do it.

Price

If you are going out and wanting to buy one of the really decent models you are looking at way over £500 which of course means that if you crash the thing you are going to have to replace it. The cheapest of things to do and although there are in fact many RC Spares that you can go and buy to replace broken ones but there is no way back if you have a petrol RC as it will explode upon impact to anything really.

Time

If you are building one of the bigger models then you are going to be spending a lot of time on it, so thats time and money wasted. On top of all of this it can be something to sit down with the kids and do, by crashing it you are almost destroying this time.

What Is The Point?

There really is no point at all in saving up a lot of money to just fly the thing into a building. People may think it will be a great video on YouTube but that doesnt mean you are going to be getting your money back so make sure you know this. If you are someone with that amount of money then just do it, I certainly would!

If you are hell bent on destroying things then go for something a bit cheaper like the plastic model kits. At least you can glue the parts back together if that breaks.

If your not into the planes why not try one of those RC tanks as they can be really quite fun to drive and have a mess around on, also they are very hard to break so they could be a great gift for a child or someone that is always breaking the things that they own.

Still Building Model Kits?

Plastic Model Kits were certainly a lot more popular back in the day and this could be down to a number of different reasons.

The Putting Together

These kits will always come with the right instructions and simple steps to build them, people just cannot be bothered to take the time into doing it. Usually the models have to be glued together with a plastic solvent based adhesive. Of course for the people that actually do this thing a lot they tend to use epoxy glue as it works better.

One of the brilliant reasons that people will sit down on a horrible winters evening and build one of these is because they are worth doing. Some of the really big model kits do take a lot of skill to put together, this is fact. Another plus point is that you get to spend some really important bonding time with your children as they may be interested in giving you a hand with one of these models. There are now newer versions of many of the models that are easier to build, these are really only meant for kids.

RC

So many kids nowadays are not interested in spending hours on building Airfix cars and want to get playing with the toy straight away. This is why things such as RC Tanks have been introduced as the kids can simply rip open the packaging, put in the batteries and drive it around the living room to their hearts content.

Lasting Appeal

I do think that when it comes to time spent on the project you are better off getting one of those plastic model kits and the simple reason for this is that you achieve something once you have built and painted it making it such a rewarding activity. After a few hours playtime the RC's are left in the corner of the room to gather dust until next Christmas.

A Short History of Wooden Toys

Toys are important as they help children to learn explore the world around them. Toys and play are used to help learn cause and effect and to practice the skills that they will need as adults.

The first toys were made out of natural materials such as wood, stone and grass. Archaeologists have discovered wooden pull toys from Egypt from as far back as 4000 years ago. Ancient toys were mostly made by the parents or family of the children who used them, or by the children themselves. Children in ancient Greece played with wooden spinning tops, hoops and rocking horses. Girls are recorded as offering their toys to the gods as a rite of passage into adulthood.
The children of ancient Rome played with wooden dolls, carved wooden horses, chariots and hoops.

Wooden puppets have been popular since the Middle Ages. They were shown by ventriloquists in the streets. The most famous wooden puppet is of course Pinnocchio from the children’s story.

In the sixteenth century children still liked to play with wooden dolls. The dolls commonly available were known as Bartholomew babies as they were sold at St Batholomew’s fair, London.

In 1760, the first (wooden) puzzle was created by John Spilsbury, a mapmaker, who glued one of his maps to a thin wooden board and cut it into pieces, initially as an idea to teach geography.

Before the twentieth century children didn’t have many toys and the ones they did have were precious. Poorer children had no choice but to make their toys.

The Industrial Revolution allowed toys to be manufactured in bulk and they also became cheaper.

New materials such as plastic were available to toy manufacturers and new toys flooded the market.

Wooden toys endure though because they are made from natural materials. Great workmanship on handmade pieces make each toy unique. Even mass produced wooden toys such as a wooden baby walker or fire engine range have a natural beauty, smell and texture that makes them special, and the grain of the wood adds to their beauty. Wood is also a naturally germ-free material, therefore safe for teething babies to chew on.

Teen Board Games

Many teenagers are not into their board games because they think that they are simply for kids, on the other hand this is really not true, all you have to do is look into all of the toys reviews on the net to see that these board games are for teenagers as well as many other age groups.

Monopoly

This is actually the most played board game in the world! Believe it or not over 485 million people have actually played monopoly which is pretty amazing, this has to be because of the general appeal it has. You can get a Monopoly board based on anything from Lord Of The Rings, and Football to Spongebob Squarepants.

Some of the newest versions of this classic board game have actually taken out all of the cash and put cards into it to make it easier, I have to say it certainly speeds things up.

Would You Rather

Although you would you rather game it often classed as a spoken game rather than anything else it is also true to say that the board game is very good also. It does add more fun to the game though. Is something like this ever going to replace the favourites like spin the bottle.

Bonus

Twilight Board Game

This board game is the ultimate fan favourite featuring stills from the movies and loads of questions from both the books and the films. This is for the real fans, you will need to have seen the movies and read the books. Twilight is rubbish anyway but I had to put it in because there are so many fans!

So check out those gadget reviews and travel reviews today!

Make sure that you always look into reviews on the thing you are lookingto buy before you go out and get it.

Things You Would Know about Zero Gravity Car Toys

Many young boys love to collect and play toy cars. Generation to generation, every boy around the world has a mini car toy. This has been a common interest among boys.

What most boys love in a toy car is a remote controlled car. The most obvious reason is they enjoyably watch their own toy car running anywhere. Having a remote on their hand is totally fun for them. But for better news, manufacturers of toy cars don’t just design mini vehicles to be played by boys. Remote controlled toy cars can now drive from walls to ceilings. That’s right. RC toy cars are not plain toy cars. They are also called as zero gravity macro toy cars. These have been the coolest toy car designed for little boys. Nonetheless, even teenagers and adults would love to play these tiny cars. They’re all safe and certainly fun thing to use.

Upon purchase, there are only 2 main parts you must check: the car itself and the remote. Another thing to consider is, of course, the battery. The remote control will not work if the battery is dead, too. A light glow that blinks around the car indicates that the battery is low. The lithium polymer battery is rechargeable so there’s no need to worry once it runs out. It only requires you to wait for 30 minutes before you can continue playing the car.

Macro cars can smoothly run on any surface. You can watch it driving as you control from floor to wall and ceiling. There is a little fan integrated inside the car which is responsible in running on the floor while the suction mode lets the car go to vertical and upside-down directions. The macro car can drive around the wall and ceiling without falling. Isn’t that awesome? If you want a more fun, attach the smallest camera. For sure, a great footage will be captured.

While you’re enjoyably controlling it, the cars can run to the highest and unreachable areas. Use the portable remote to let the car go up and down, left and right. What’s enjoyable here is to discover how you maneuver the car with style. Don’t simply control the car to run anywhere, make some exhibition especially if you want to show to your friends how cool your mini car is. You may also want to play some race with your friends. Look for the best surface where to race and get ready to set off.

Ensure that the surfaces are smooth enough for your car. Rough ones may damage your most precious mini car. This is a serious thing you have to consider.

Although safe to be used by any age, children under 8 years old should be carefully supervised by parents. Better teach them on how to use the toy car properly. Once they’re familiar, let them enjoy playing for hours.

Zero gravity toy cars are ideal gift for any occasion like birthdays, Christmas, graduation and even if there’s no special event at all. One important reason is because these toy cars are not expensive. You can buy one under a hundred dollar. Even if selecting the best car might be uneasy, there is one thing for sure and that is the fun experience you can feel.
